The DELVE music - just like the fire-bred clayware - is the melting pot for both the tradition and the creative innovation.

DELVE is located in Vidriži, Limbaži region, which is a smaller settlement in the Northern part of Vidzeme.
These are the ancient lands of the Metsepole county that was once inhabited by the Livonians of the Salaca river basin.
The Metsepole Livonian heritage has influenced the visual representation of the folk music band. Their costumes have been reproduced after the archeological findings of the Livonian origin. They are hand-made and so are the traditional adornments and the footwear.

The DELVE group has acquired its name from an ancient word, meaning 'the bear-paw'. The name has been chosen in an attempt to combine the playfulness and the might.

The folk band has performed all over Latvia as well as at the international venues in Lithuania, Estonia, Germany, Ireland, France, Russia, Finland and Sweden.
The kokle melodies and the voices, sounded by Aina and Gvido Tobji, have also been heard in Australia and Iceland.
